Written and directed by Takashi Yamazaki, Godzilla Minus One takes the iconic monster back to postwar Japan. The original 1954 Godzilla symbolizes the nuclear holocaust from a Japanese perspective. When compared to the campier Godzilla vs Kong, this film looks more dramatic and thematically engaging. Totally worth seeing up on the big screen.
