I’m a big fan of video game developer documentaries like Indie Game: The Movie, Hades: Developing Hell, and most recently DoubleFine’s PsychOdyssey. Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds is important in exploring video games as an art form in accordance with Auteur Theory. Kojima’s latest game felt more surrealist and Avant Garde than a crowd-pleasing AAA title. It will be fascinating to look behind the scenes and learn more about Kojima’s creative process.
