‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ To Hit VOD Platforms One Week Early On March 15

Spider-Man: No Way Home its making its way to home theaters a little bit early.

According to Fandango’s Erik Davis, the film will makes its video-on-demand debut one week earlier than originaly planned. It will be available for sale or rent on platforms like Apple and Vudu on March 15th.

Per some of the scuttle on Twitter, it seems the move may have been spurred on by a leak of the film in the murkier parts of the web. But whatever the reason, the VOD release of the film will be a great relief to those who had to avoid it in theaters. The film, which charts Peter Parker’s (Tom Holland) attempts to fix a Multiversal mistake after he screws up one of Doctor Strange’s (Benedict Cumberbatch) spells, proved to be a crowdpleaser despite it opening theaters just as the Omicron wave of the COVID-19 pandemic hit the states. As we said in our review, it is a fun film which somehow captures the sensation of the impossible being made manifest. The meme recreation in the Tweet above will give you some idea what that impossible thing might be. And though that is a key element to it, it goes deeper than just quick cameos.

Besides Holland and Cumberbatch, the film also features Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Marissa Tomei, and Jon Favreau reprising their parts from the earlier Marvel Studios Spider-Man films. It also features some very special guest appearances by the various Foes of Spider-Man and, we think, the strongest crossover story from Marvel Studios to date.

If you’re inclined to get the film digitally, it will be on your favored platform on Tuesday, March 15th.
