Something For The Weekend: Your Regular Dose Of Popular Posts

A week to go, and I must admit I’m feeling festive. The tree’s up, the fire is glowing and the presents are… well, let’s not talk too much about that, shall we. I may have to rush out and go shopping for the season, but you might not. And for those of you planning a lazy Saturday, why not catch up on some popular posts from the past week right here.

  1. We’ll start with Frank Martin and his TV review for Doom Patrol S04 ep.1 here, a piece on The Handmaid’s Tale (TV vs. film), and a look back at the Stargirl show here.
  2. This past month Richard Bruton has been delving deep into Santa’s sack to pull out some Christmas’ crackers with his annual, month-long Comicon Advent Calender, with Day 11 making the list.
  3. On the comic book front we had a first look at Mark Millar and Juanan Ramírez’s Night Club #2 here.
  4. IDW announced it was to celebrate Star Trek: Deep Space 9’s 30th anniversary with a new series here.
  5. Dynamite Comics also had a new book to announce, with the return of Dejah Thoris here; a prequel series set before the very first John Carter novel.
  6. Even more comic book news as Z2 Comics reported it will be publishing a graphic novel in partnership with Metallers, Ice Nine Kills. Read all about it here.
  7. I caught up with Mark Russell and Steve Pugh to discuss their return to Billionaire Island with sequel title, Billionaire Island: Cult of Dogs here.
  8. Richard Bruton reported on a new Kickstarter campaign for Howard Hardiman’s A Stormy Day with Badger and Vole here.
  9. Then we had a bit of gaming news making the list too. Sage Ashford reported on a new trailer for Blue Protocol from Bandai-Namco and Amazon Games here.
  10. Finally, a few regular columns also continue to prove popular. Brendan M Allen’s Jumping On, House of X, Koom Kankesan’s Christmas Book Club and Anna Lindwasser’s One Piece Diaries.

And so, before I do rush to the shops, I’ll leave you with this festive tune, and one of my all-time favourites, ‘Christmas in Hollis’ by Run DMC. Have a good one, everyone.
