Something For The Weekend: Your Regular Dose Of Popular Posts

Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to another selection of popular posts from the wonderful world of comics, film, TV and more. A variety of reading material for you to sit back and enjoy.

  1. It was a big week for TV news with our EiC, Erik Amaya, working overtime to bring us two updates on casting for CW’s Gotham Knights (here and here) and Amazon Prime’s Gods of War (here).
  2. Still with TV and Frank Martin looked back at the show Legion here.
  3. On the film front we got news of Dune 2 possibly adding Florence Pugh to its cast (here).
  4. Ben Martin reviewed Netflix’s film, Fistful of Vengeance here.
  5. Tito W. James posted a trailer for indie animation Far Fetched here.
  6. And, he also brought word on in-house protests over Disney’s inaction against the ‘Don’t Say Gay Bill’ here.
  7. In other news AfterShock Comics announced a partnership with Women of Color Unite with the release of the graphic novel, Animus, the first such project produced solely by women of colour here.
  8. The Lakes International Comics Festival announced a comics’ inspired art trail coming to Bowness-On-Windermere this Spring, as reported upon by Richard Bruton here.
  9. Brendan Allen announced Marvel’s Judgement Day crossover event featuring the Eternals, the Avengers and the X-Men here.
  10. And, last but not least, Tony Thornley brought us a trailer for Marvel’s The Amazing Spider-Man #1 here.

That’s a pretty good selection from across the pop cultural landscape if you ask me. TV, film and, of course, comics. We do hope there’s something in there for you to soak up and enjoy.
