Ready for the most macho movie marathon of your life? The Expendables 4-Film Collection is on its way from Lionsgate Entertainment.
This explosive bundle includes all four films in the long-running franchise plus an armory’s worth of extras.
Just in case you’re still not sure what to expect from this franchise: 2010’s The Expendables, introduces the titular team of mega-macho mercenaries (including Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li and Jason Statham, with a cameo from Arnold Schwarzenegger) who are hired by a mysterious operative (Bruce Willis) to blow stuff up in South America. In The Expendables 2 (2012), they’re joined by Chuck Norris to fight (and trade puns with) an arms dealer played by Jean-Claude Van Damme. The Expendables 3 (2014) adds Wesley Snipes and Harrison Ford to the mix, as they exchange punches and explosions with Mel Gibson. In last year’s Expend4bles, newcomers including 50 Cent, Megan Fox, and Tony Jaa join the fray and tear things up. We can only assume the inevitable fifth entry will be called The Expendable5.
Not enough muscles and mayhem for you? Then we suggest watching all four in a row while dining on a rare 64-oz. steak and chomping on a cigar. For an added bonus: do ten push-ups every time someone smirks, and do 20 sit-ups every time something explodes. You’ll be absolutely ripped by the opening credits of the fourth film.
Extras include an audio commentary with Stallone on the first film, with director commentaries on the other films, plus documentaries, featurettes, deleted scenes, trailers, and more.
The Expendables 4-Film Collection arrives March 5 on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital.
