Although it’s been 40 years since the release of Return of the Jedi, one quote from Obi-Wan Kenobi continues to resonate with fans – even to the point of becoming a meme.
“So what I told you was true – from a certain point of view,” the Jedi master’s Force ghost told a confused Luke Skywalker.
Now that quote has become the basis of a new book celebrating the middle trilogy’s concluding chapter. From a Certain Point of View: Return of the Jedi retells 40 pivotal moments from the movie, only this time from the perspective of secondary characters.
Imagine learning more about the rancor trainer’s backstory or learning about the sarlacc’s history. Rebel alliance leader Mon Mothma gets her own tale, as does Wicket the Ewok.
Publisher Random House has assembled a number of authors to take on this story set in a galaxy far, far away, including Olivie Blake, Saladin Ahmed, Charlie Jane Anders, Fran Wilde, Mary Kenney and Mike Chen.
