The previous Marvel Contest of Champions update introduced two classic Spider-Man villains to the award-winning mobile brawler. This month will see new content related to the MCU film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Adam Warlock with his film inspired look and Moondragon are entering the Contest. Here’s what the game has in store for May.
First, there are three film-inspired uniforms for Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon and Mantis. To further play with the Guardians of the Galaxy theme, new character tier upgrades can be achieved for Star-Lord (Tier-4 with new Striker Skill) and Rocket Raccoon (Tier-3 with new Ultimate Skill) along with characters such as Mantis and Nebula receiving Awakened Skills and Transcend Potential. Then, there is the newly added PVP content entitled “Otherworld Battle.” You utilize a roster of five heroes to participate in strategic combat while the environment changes to different seasons.
There is also the “X of Swords” growth system that is inspired by Marvel Comics. The system affects all heroes, much like the Comic Card, but has the addition of a Special Sword version can be obtained via Enchantments. Reforging the C.T.P. of Insight is a new feature where you are able to receive the Might C.T.P. of Insight and Brilliant C.T.P. of Insight. Finally, there is the Soul of the Faltine, a Tier-4 growth material, that can be earned through clearing the Giant Boss Raid Galactus.
