Something For The Weekend: Your Regular Dose Of Popular Posts

After a very busy and thoroughly enjoyable weekend at Thought Bubble last weekend, this Saturday sees regular services resumed as we round up your regular ten-to-takeaway of popular posts from the past week for your reading enjoyment. Here’s what you may have missed…

  1. Jeff Lemire presented the pilot episode of his Essex County last weekend at thought Bubble and took a Q+A on it here.
  2. Meanwhile, across the pond we had JewCe con, reported on by Frank Martin here and here.
  3. Frank also reviewed the final episode of Loki season 2 here.
  4. This week saw the release of Super Mario RPG, with an overview trailer here.
  5. The biggest preview of the week was DC Comics’ Outsiders #1, the DC comic masquerading as the new Planetary. Check it out here.
  6. Tony Thornley posted a new Comics Cavalcade here. Another regular post that always does well.
  7. And speaking about doing well, I think we do more than well when it comes to interviewing comic book folk, so I’ll leave you with three interviews from the past week. First, Benjamin Hall sat down once again with Greg Weismann to discuss Gargoyles Quest from Dynamite/Disney here.
  8. Then we have Rachel Bellwoar who racked up THREE awesome and insightful interviews in just the past week alone. She spoke with Dynamite’s new comic book series, Lilo & Stitch, writer Greg Pak here.
  9. She also interviewed Laura Bailey And Rob Richardson, discussing thr return of ex-Judge, Galen DeMarco, to 2000 AD here.
  10. And finally, in a break from the norm, she also interviewed costume designer John Dunn about his work on Julia here.

Right, all done and plenty of fun to be had in that selection, I think. Now, off to enjoy the weekend and take in a few local punk bands, and one from Norway! And all for a fiver. Here’s hoping you have a great weekend too, whether it involves punk rock or not. But, maybe the odd comic book or two.
