In Phenomena, a young girl who can somehow communicate with insects may be the key to solving a string of murders at an exclusive boarding school. The film stars a young Jennifer Connelly and a monkey who really steals the show in the third act. Strictly speaking this is not one of Dario Argento’s more “artsy” horror films. However, the ridiculous plot and characters make for an entertaining group watch.
