In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, after years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers through heroic acts. Their new friend, April O’Neil (Ayo Edebiri), helps them take on a mysterious crime syndicate, but they soon get in over their heads when an army of mutants is unleashed upon them.
Mutant Mayhem looks even better than I could have imagined. The creative team has embraced the animated comic book aesthetic while also completely differentiating the film from the other popular cel-shaded superhero who lives in New York. The voice cast of teenage actors fit their roles perfectly and the character designs are spot on. If you’re a fan of the Ninja Turtles you’re in for a treat!
