Watch The Final Trailer For Masaaki Yuasa’s ‘Inu-Oh’

Based on the novel by Hideo Furukawa, Inu-Oh takes place in the 14th century in Japan, and revolves around “Sarugaku” performances. Sarugaku translates to “monkey music” and the performances are like outdoor musical circuses.

Masaaki Yuasa and Science Saru have consistently offered a different flavor of what anime can look and feel like. Inu-Oh makes use of the depth of field CG provides while also integrating the charm of loose hand drawn animation.

Inu-Oh will be distributed by GKids this year.
