Recently, it was announced a new Ghostbusters video game is on its way. Ghostbusters: Spirit Unleashed is a 4v1 hunt or haunt supernaturally-charged title from IllFonic, who are known for their asymmetrical multiplayer games. It will be arriving in the fourth quarter of this year on PC for Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
Players will form a team of four Ghostbusters who use their proton packs, traps, and PKE meters to capture a Ghost terrorizing various locations before the area becomes too haunted. You can also play on the other side as the Ghost to scare civilians, warp around the city using rifts, and slime those troublesome Ghostbusters.
Stars from the films will lend their voices to Ghostbusters: Spirit Unleashed as you can receive missions from Ernie Hudson’s Winston Zeddemore and meet Dan Aykroyd’s Ray Stantz. Prepare before each job in the iconic fire house by customizing your character and upgrading your equipment and abilities. Best of all, enjoy cross-platform multiplayer between all versions of the game.
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed will launch later this year on Epic Games Store for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.
